How Will You Fundraise if You Don't Know What You're Doing?

Sometimes it strikes me as astounding and sometimes illogical that missionaries are expected to automatically know how to fundraise. Anyone else?

Yes, as a missionary, you often have the skills of presenting ministry with passion, talking to people easily, and even public speaking at times. Whether those are innate or trained skills for you, fundraising is truly a whole other playing field. And that's why we're here!

One coach recently remarked, "a client had not prepared their message very well nor thought about a clear invitation to partner." Huh. Well, if you don't know how to ask for financial partnership, you might find it pretty difficult to get the mission funded. And you might need a fundraising coach.
